The Timeliners: Indians & Ladai| A Creative Evaluation

Extremely entertaining, well casted and executed video. Actor's performance in "Udta Teer Lene Wali Ladai" and murdering English in "Lugai Waali Ladai" were the two best elements of the video.  Here are some basic points that I would have focused upon while executing the project. 

Writing: 

1. Absurdism in the "Tu Bahar Mil" and "Fatuo ki ladai" could have been nudged a bit higher.  For example: In place of Swarg Nark, we could have seen them in space in astronaut suits. Alternately, when they meet in the room, one could have tried to hit the other and god knows how the anger touch becomes a romantic one and the background could have turn romantic, hinting a gay romance (Tu Bahar mil ending up on tu bahar Na mil/ Tu Ander mil). In Fatuo ki ladai, the Batman could have been established more. While the actor is saying, I am the vengeance, he could have at least the Batman mask. Similary, the other elements could have been brainstormed. 

2. I feel "Fatuo ki ladai" either could have been established better or the title name could have been changed. As for now, it didn't come out properly that two guys on the loosing party were fattu and hiding from the macho guy, despite all the efforts of using split screen. Alternatively, the title could have been changed to something on the lines of "Dusro ke dum pe uchalne wali ladai."

3. While it was a relief that done to death traffic signal pe hui ladai wasn't a part of the list, something still could have been worked on those lines as it's true that every day, many fights happen on the roads of North India. This could have been at least a filler if not the main scene. 

4.  Couple of more fight options: 

a) "Andaz Apna Apna Style Fight" where two boys are having a physical fight but they show it as if they are friends. 

b) Another could be "Social Media Wali Ladai" where we see two people blasting each other but later it turns out that they are at different locations and don't even know each other (We somehow establish in the end that they were typing all of this.)

c) One could be called "Time Kaatne Wali Ladai" where we see how people just start a fight for no reason when they have some time to kill. While waiting for a train/bus, two people could start a fight as the train/bus is late. When the bus/train comes, they act so normal and get involved in themselves as if no fight ever took place.

5. After the video ends, two writers could appear for CTA, telling people to subscribe, and end up fighting on weather or not they should put an Hashtag while uploading video or not and fade out/ "Writers wali Ladai" on screen & fade out.

Editing: 

1. The Tik Tok wali Ladai could have been edited in actual Tik Tok video style with all those slow motion dying shots along with some music on the beats of "Rider Provider." This could have enhanced the scene better.

2. Minor sound issue in between 3. 51 to 3.57. 

Cinematography:

1. The entry of the boy gangs in the beginning of the video could have been more cinematic and rowdy. Instead of starting from the face of main guy, we could have established their entry from back shots/walking shots. After giving it a huge a build-up, we show them compromising in the end, sitting on the swing set.

2. From outdoor shots in "Tu Bahar Mil" to the room shot, the shots are noticeably over exposed at multiple time durations.

3. At 4.20, the terrace shot has excessive extra space in the right side, should have kept the frame in center. Right now, the whole focus is going on a side tree, which is not even important.

4. The lighting in the wide shot of terrace part in "Tu Bahar Mil" and the mid shots aren't matching.
