Why is Ansel Elgort's girlfriend Violetta Komyshan silent on accusations made on him?

The hottest news right now in Hollywood showbiz is that Baby Driver actor Ansel Elgort has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 2014. A private account named Gabby made the allegations on Twitter this Friday.

Since then, people on Twitter are blasting Ansel and declaring him guilty and even appealing his girlfriend Violetta Komyshan to dump him.

However, Ansel has finally released a statement on his social media today, clarifying that he was in a brief yet consensual relationship with Gabby in 2014 when she was 17.

He even mentioned that he couldn't handle the breakup well and ended up ghosting her.

Ansel then apologized publically for his unjust behavior towards her.

Since Gabby's account is private and her allegations are not investigated, it is difficult to say who is telling the truth. But never has Twitterati paid heed to such logic.

While such cases deserve all the attention, perhaps in the court of law, netizens have taken it upon themselves to serve justice with one-sided appeals. The shocking thing is that his girlfriend, Violetta, has remained silent on the whole matter. She has neither shown support to her boyfriend nor has dumped him as many angry Twitter users have suggested.
